We masterminded our way onboard to the 4449 steam locomotive. One of our new girls -who did not read the safety manual - nor the memo- - - -stepped right on the rail head !!! ( rule # 17 -- never step ON ..or sit on the rails...) The new girl jumps right to the throttle of the fire-breathing beast. She had to be restrained.
It's a beautiful sunny day in Portland this late afternoon and there is a lot of activity in the terminal. Quite a few private rail cars here as well. This terminal is being refurbished to its previous glorious hey day and it still sees a lot of passengers due to the scenic routes in this part of the country.
